After just ten months of construction, the new Holiday Inn in Frankfurt’s Gateway Gardens district, located directly at the Frankfurt International Airport, celebrated its topping out ceremony yesterday. German Hotel Invest I GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture of the Münchner Grund Immobilien Bauträger GmbH – a subsidiary of UBM Development AG – and Munich Hotel Invest GmbH – Lambert Group, plans to open the hotel in the 4th quarter of 2016.

The new business hotel is situated in a prominent location at the western entrance of Gateway Gardens in the Bessie-Coleman-Straße 16 and is within walking distance of Terminal 2 at Frankfurt Airport. With a floor area of approximately 12,000 square meters, the Holiday Inn will in addition to its 288 rooms, also offer a spacious conference area and 50 underground parking spaces.

The property is leased to the tenant Primestar Hospitality GmbH for a lease period of 20 years. The company is also the franchisee for the Holiday Inn brand of the InterContinental Hotels Group.

Head of Economic Affairs for Frankfurt am Main, Councilor Markus Frank, said: "Passenger numbers at Frankfurt Airport have doubled in the last 25 years. The Holiday Inn will expand Frankfurt’s offer for hotel guests in an excellent way – a business hotel at one of the most important business hubs of our city."
