On 19 April 2016, the Feuring Group, together with Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH, inaugurated the building site for the new Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt Gateway Gardens. Completion of this brand’s first hotel in Germany is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.
The hotel, with an area of around 19,000 square metres, will be built on a site measuring approximately 3,000 square metres in De-Saint-Exupéry-Strasse 4 in Frankfurt - Gateway Gardens, and will be located directly next to the “Gateway Garden” central park. The hotel has been designed by Hans Dieter Reichel of the architects Reichel + Stauth, Brunswick, and is set to receive LEED SiIver certification. Besides 312 rooms, around 110 underground parking slots will be provided. Access to the stop of the Gateway Gardens metro railway system currently under construction will be located directly in front of the hotel, thus assuring optimum links to Frankfurt’s city centre (approximately 10 minutes and three stops to Frankfurt Main Station) and to the airport (circa 2 minutes and just one stop).
Back in March 2016, Union Investment had signed a forward purchase agreement with the Feuring Group, so as to acquire the hotel after its completion for the open-ended property fund UniImmo: Global. The Feuring Group will be operating the hotel as a lessee for the next 30 years under the Hyatt Place brand.

One striking feature is the location directly next to the park of Gateway Gardens. Which means we will also be offering special park suites with a magnificent view of the scenery.”

Gateway Gardens, with its 700,000 square metres of planned gross floor area on a site measuring 35 hectares, is one of the largest district development projects in an airport city in Europe. In October 2014, Gateway Gardens was the first commercial district to receive the DGNB Certificate in Gold for its sustainability. Before the end of this year, over 40 per cent of the area will already be marketed.
